New Pieces!
I’m realizing I like to wear-test things for several years before I can decide they’re worthy.
I knit myself the Everyday Raglan in Chocolate nearly three years ago. It was something I felt was missing from my wardrobe.
I surround myself with a lot of color, but I was craving a piece that could be my uniform, without making it so obvious that I was wearing the same thing I wore yesterday... and the day before.
I wore it so frequently that, a year later, I decided I needed to knit another in a different color. Just to mix it up a bit.
I made myself the Everyday Raglan in Stone. A similar feeling— a second uniform, but in a different tone. Great for pairing with darker colors, whereas I prefer wearing Chocolate with lighter colors.
Both have a contrasting color at the tip of the cuffs. That same color is tucked away as a hidden detail inside the neckband.
The Everyday Raglan is just that— something I want to wear every day.
It comes in two fits, regular and cropped. Regular has the length and ease of a traditional men’s sweater. Cropped is shorter and slightly boxier. Both have raglan sleeves because they are the best. Tailored, but made for movement.
Knit using 100% merino wool spun in Donegal. It’s the same wool I use for all of my pieces, with small flecks of contrasting colors spun throughout, giving it the irregular texture and character that Donegal wool is known for.
I knit your piece as it’s ordered. Nothing sits around, nothing is wasted.
OK.. I’m really excited about these.
Introducing the XL Bandana.
I have loved knitting bandanas for you & seeing how you wear them.
Around this time last year, I was cleaning my knitting machine and had all the needles pushed out. I went into autopilot and started casting on a bandana. But I cast on to the full bed of needles.
How annoying. Should I undo it? Nah.
I kept going and ended up with a massive bandana.
O no, I love this thing. Why didn’t I think of this before? It’s so luxurious.
Appropriately on theme, I wore it repeatedly over the next year.
I knit a few as gifts, collected feedback, couldn’t believe how cute my friends looked wearing them, and now they’re here, ready for you, too.
I’m so looking forward to seeing how you wear them!
Bandanas are knit on a loose tension, allowing them to tie easily without adding too much bulk. They can be breezy when draped, or warm when folded up.
Thank you for being here, for wearing the things I make, and for allowing me to keep making them. I can’t wait to knit for you!
Xx,
Kelsey
