Studio Kelsey LLC is a small knitwear studio in Nashville, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit studiokelsey.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. "We", "us" and "our" mean Studio Kelsey LLC.
1. What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you give one) and what you ordered.
When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address.
When you email us or use a contact form, we collect your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and is never seen or stored by us.
When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically through cookies, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you found us.
2. How we use it
To make, ship and deliver your order, and send you order and shipping updates
To answer your questions and handle returns
To send our newsletter, only if you've signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To understand how the site is used so we can improve it
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
If you're in the EU or UK: we use your information to fulfil our contract with you (your order), with your consent (our newsletter), for our legitimate interests (site analytics and security), and to meet legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share only what's needed with the services that help us run the shop:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, shop and checkout
Stripe, which processes card payments
Postal and courier services (and customs, for international orders), which deliver your parcel
Google Analytics, which shows us how visitors use the site
Our email provider, which sends the newsletter
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if our business is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
4. Cookies
Our site uses cookies, small files stored in your browser. Some are needed for the site and your shopping cart to work. Others, set by Squarespace and Google Analytics, help us understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The shop will still work, though your cart may not be remembered between visits.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal reasons, usually up to seven years. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Emails are kept for as long as they help us look after you.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
Tell you what personal information we hold about you
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your information, unless we need to keep it (for example, order records for tax)
Stop sending you marketing emails (or just click unsubscribe)
Depending on where you live, for example the EU, UK, California or another US state with a privacy law, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days. We'll never treat you differently for asking.
7. Customers outside the US
We're based in the United States and ship worldwide. If you order from outside the US, your information will be processed in the United States, where our service providers store it.
8. Children
Our site isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
9. Security
Our site and checkout use secure, encrypted connections, and only we can access your order details. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
